Hello Ladies!

As usual we have a lot going on.  Our Thirty-One / Tastefully Simple fundraiser party is still open until Tuesday, so there's still time if you haven't ordered yet.  Ordering online means you can't make a mistake calculating the shipping and/or tax.  E-mail me if you need me to re-send the links.

We have a Pulled Pork Dinner scheduled for Saturday, August 31st.  For the ticket price of $10, you will be dining on pulled pork, homemade cole slaw, baked beans, roll, dessert, and bottled water.  This is seriously good food!  Dine in or take out from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.  There is serious profit to be made here, if we sell the tickets.  Kathy and Fred Kral are in charge of the dinner itself, and I am handling the tickets.  If you haven't already, please take some to sell to family and friends.  If everyone sells 8 or 10 tickets, we can really take this one home.  You don't have to be a parishioner to support this fabulous dinner!

We are rounding the corner on our Golf Tournament (this Friday, August 16th), and the Golf Committee (Paula Nowakowski, Madeline Illinger, Rosie Payne, Dorla Barres, Elaine Durham, and Karen Aubin) has been working feverishly to make this an event we will be proud to host.  All of the holes have sponsors and many fun events are planned for the tournament.  We have lots of fabulous raffle prizes as well! We do need more golfers, so if you know anyone who golfs and is looking for some fun, give Elaine Durham a call for tickets.  Golfers don't need to make their own foursome to join in!  If you are able to help out on Friday, let them know.  Even a couple of hours could make a difference.

Vicki's Bag will continue to be passed around at each meeting.  Members can put in any amount - or nothing.  No pressure!  It was decided this month that Vicki will use the proceeds of Vicki's Bag to surprise us with something fun, nice, or necessary.  Members can make suggestions by putting it in the bag.  The suspense is mounting!  :)

Fourth Friday Movie Night - this month's movie will be "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone."  Mark your calendar for Friday, August 23rd @ 6:30.  C'mon out for some good, clean fun!  And it's free!

Sue Haulotte is running a used Book Sale on October 19th.  We are looking for books, DVDs, and CDs now.  Donations can be brought to the Rectory or church vestibule.  Or arrange a pick up with Sue.  Sue is also looking for copy paper box tops to arrange books in for the sale.

The Estate Table Committee and Craft Table Committee are also looking for donations for the Columbiettes table at the upcoming Christmas Bazaar.

September's meeting has been moved to September 9th because of the Labor Day holiday.  Thanks for all you do!
